Awesome warrior/rt build!
Sever Artery
Gash
Galrash Slash
Lions Comfort
Defy Pain
Brutal Weapon
Mending grip
enraging charge
swordsman is 13
sttrenght 14
communing 8
resto magic 2
perfect synergy build, got 10 RA wins yesterday 4 times with this, does amazingly well at tanking, and surprisingly at dps ing, it can even stand up to some hexes, the only thing there is no snare, but thats okay
just get all health crap and the required runes 15^50 blade, and tanking crap but no armor insignias
synergy= enraging charge automatically charges lion comfort, which if you use, since u will be tanking u can automatically defy pain, and then spam ur attack skills, gash always after artery, keep up brutal weapon, and use mending grip to remove conditions, i have tanked 1v4 in RA for the whole game with this, by using enraging charge as much as possible and kept using lions comfort, try it out and tell me what you think :P

@Tyla - He said it works in RA...
@OP - winning in RA means absolutely nothing, hence why you think that build is good.

That build is really bad, though. You can play hamstorm and win in RA/AB.
Edit, breakdown time.
Attributes:
Strength: 14
Swordsmanship: 13
Communing: 8
Resto: 2
To get these attributes, in the best case, you've used the following rune set-up.
Strength: 12+1+1
Swordsmanship: 10+2
Communing: 8
Resto: 2
Major runes are bad. Just use minors. The extra point is not worth 35 health.
Now, skill-by-skill breakdown.
[Sever [email protected]] - Good. If you don't want to use [Crippling Slash], this is a good alternative.
[[email protected]] - Good. Deep wound equals awesome.
[Galrath [email protected]] - Not utterly terrible, but there are far better alternatives ([Sun and [email protected]] most notably)
[Lion's [email protected]] - The only heal you should be using in RA, as it doesn't cut armor or require attribute breakdown.
[Defy [email protected]] - Bad. You're supposed to kill stuff. Smart people will just avoid you until the last part of the match and then have the entire team collapse on you.
[Brutal [email protected]] - Even worse. You're a warrior, not a ritualist. Add to this the fact that monks are pretty common now, with [Holy Veil] / [Vig [email protected]] / [Spotless [email protected]] for example, which nullifies the bonus.
[Mending [email protected]] - Still getting worse. First off, you've only specced 2 in resto - so it heals for a whopping 23 and removes a condition if you're under a weapon spell. Far inferior to [Mending [email protected]], for example.
[Enraging [email protected]] - Okay-ish, I suppose. Far better on hammer warriors, though. Better off with [[email protected]]
Overall score: 2/10
- Doesn't have IAS
- Uses a bad elite
- No notable damage.
- Uses major rune.
- No res sig.
- Overall inferior to pretty much everything.
Build suggestions:
[Sever [email protected]][[email protected]][Sun and [email protected]][Bull's [email protected]][Primal [email protected]][[email protected]][Optional][Res Sig]
[Crippling [email protected]][[email protected]][Sun and [email protected]][Bull's [email protected]][Frenzy][[email protected]][Optional][Res Sig]
[[email protected]][Executioner's [email protected]][Disrupting [email protected]][[email protected]][Bull's [email protected]][Frenzy][[email protected]][Res Sig]
[[email protected]][Power [email protected]][Protector's [email protected]][Bull's [email protected]][Frenzy][Dash][Warrior's [email protected]][Res Sig]
[[email protected]][Executioner's [email protected]][Disrupting [email protected]][Bull's [email protected]][[email protected]][Primal [email protected]][[email protected]][Res Sig]
[Optional][Crushing [email protected]][Hammer [email protected]][Optional][Bull's [email protected]][[email protected]][Enraging [email protected]][Res Sig]
[Magehunter's [email protected]] / [Devastating [email protected]] / [Earth [email protected]] on the first optional.
[Rigor [email protected]] / [Distracting Strike] on the second.

dude i got 700 ppl in my aliance and most of it rated it good, compare it to other builds i can rape pretty much everything except the occasional hex spammer/crit defenses in ab, and tank there easily as long as i have a target which i can hit for adrenaline

I have come to the conclusion you are that bad, but I've got nothing on so I might as well tell you why.
You've got superior runes in PvP, your weapon mastery isn't at 14 at least, you're relying on yourself too much, you have no IAS or maintainable IMS, you've got no decent "finisher" attack (swords don't have enough firepower for Galrath to constitute as a "finisher"), you've got no Bull's Strike which could single-handedly turn a surviving person into a dead target, and enchantments will hurt your DPS while you can't have Weapon of Warding or anything of the sort as a defense against Mark of Insecurity, which, in RA will hurt every single area of defense you can take advantage of in the other situation which doesn't have that skill.

You can't tank in PvP, people aren't (shouldn't) be dumb enough to fall for that and should be kiting. Meet someone who isn't terrible and your build is horrible 100%.

Dude, AB and RA mean as much as what color shirt you're wearing. And btw, if your alliance think thats good, I'd say get a new one.

You can play mending paladin in RA and win 10 times. Mending isnt good still. This build is horrid, seriously.

I was referring to how much it meant in regards to how good your build is (as a comparison to how much RA/AB means). Shirts mean alot to me too; I want an orange one but I don't have one... should probably get one...

It's not as if when we try it out it'll magically be awesome. We understand PvP, how it works, and we know that this just doesn't work.

I call BS here (unless its badly worded), "Most" would imply a majority, although there is no set amount, i would use it for anything over 2/3rd's. So basicly your trying to say 400+ people said that was good, i have reasons to doubt even 400 people replied, let alone were bad enough to say it was good.

If you like the build and claim it pwns, run it. Nothing wrong with diversity if it makes you happy right (even if it pisses your teammates off if they are dedicated PvPers... but who cares? you aren't gonna see em again its RA lol)? Don't listen to Tyla, he's just mad that you might end up on his team in RA and then he wont be able to carry himself without a godly warrior on his team. It's RANDOM arena... not team arena or any other format of pvp for that matter. Run what you want and enjoy the game regardless of other people's opinions because most the people complaining that your build sucks (no its not the best build out for warriors but you like it ) also say that everything is wrong with this game. Rock out son!

Actually, I don't Random Arena, and even if I did, I wouldn't anymore because I don't even play Guild Wars.

Yes, because it's RA and he got omgz 8 gladpointz he's come onto the forum thinking it's an awesome build and we're saying it's bad and (eventually) giving it reason.
Unless you're going to argue against previous posts giving reasons as to why the build is bad I'm just going to assume you're one of those people who think sugar coating everything helps people learn - or put short, a carebear. It doesn't, assertiveness does, with the occasional nicety.
If you post something on a forum and claim it's awesome, you're going to get criticised. If you've got something against criticism, I'll say what I usually say and tell you people to get the f*ck off or stop being a petty fool.

He's making claims that it's awesome, and he wanted to know what we think.
We think it's crap. Because is. Reasons have been listed, suggestions have been made. If you don't want negative feedback, don't bother asking for feedback at all.

Still don't get it why people stay on this forum when they stopped playing GW. Oh well.
Anyway, the build, while does have some "synergy", isn't practical. Besides, tanking is the worst thing you can do it PvP.
I suggest you to try playing with some of the existing proven builds first (try pvxwiki. though it's still a wiki, so bad builds still exist), to get a feeling of what an offensive character must do. And only then try making new builds.
I'm all for originality, but to create anything good, you must have something you can compare it with.
Keep it up though... and try listening to others as well.

using [brutal weapon] in ra is just like using [vow of strength] in it. just HOPING no one uses an enchant on you so your build kinda works. plus [mending grip] is really pretty crappy because 20some health and a condition is not worth a slot and 5 energy. top it off with a bad elite and no ias or res sig.
VoS is supposed to read:For 20 seconds, your attacks deal 5...41...50% more damage against foes not suffering from any conditions.

Unless the game has some massive change that is so huge that what I, or any other player who quit's knowledge is 100% false, I'll still be here.

Okay I agree with many of the points made above but I am going to play devils advocate a little here.
The Synergy between [skill]defy pain[/skill] and [skill]lions comfort[/skill] is unquestionably good. I have seen them used to good effect , even in some gvg matches on a dedicated split warrior. Utilising major and/or superior runes is in general bad, but given the additional health and damage reduction from defy pain, if that -35hp gets you to the next breakpoint in damage reduction it arguably isn't actually that bad an idea.
For example
@ 14 Strength Defy pain gives you +286hp +20 al and a -9 damage reduction.
@ 15 Strength Defy pain gives you +300hp +20al and a -10 damage reduction.
Provided the warrior is competent regarding managing his adrenaline, the 35hp loss is actually only 21hp and the additional reduction in damage arguably compensates.
Not liking the look of the ritualist skills though, I would still go with something like
[skill]dismember[/skill][skill]body blow[/skill][skill]bulls strike[/skill][skill]defy pain[/skill][skill]lions comfort[/skill][skill]frenzy[/skill][skill]rush[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
I would suggest taking axes over swords because you want your deep wound to cost as little adrenaline as possible when maintaining defy pain. Drop Res sig for [skill]distracting strike[/skill] in AB.
